Psychologists point out that grief and mourning are two very important and valuable self-healing tools that overlap even long after the loss. If we consider people belonging to minorities, these words may be incomprehensible and even non-descriptive ones according to the situation these minorities are facing. The idea that grief and mourning are more than medicines in minority groups is reflected in famous singers' lyrics, such as Sting, U2 and Elton John. Their songs focused on how depression and isolation provoke commit suicide, street mourning as a consequence of missing people and some groups' motto "Be yourself no matter what they say". The aim of this essay is to analyse the healing process of grief and mourning as a result of belonging to a minority group.
